The Rationale Behind The David Grayson Site
David Grayson's web site has been designed and constructed to provide two clear routes to the information on the site. There is both a graphically intense area of the site, and a text only area, both sites accessing a single information source, hence providing the same information to all visitors. Additionally a single information source allows for quicker site updates and faster site access. The text only site has been developed using the RNIB and other Web Content guidelines. This site is user friendly for web site readers.
brandid Ltd first created David's web site in 1999. When the site was first developed the aim was to try and provide access to as many people as possible, including visually impaired users. At this time the site offered the user alternatives to the background and text colours. Working closely with David over the past year has driven brandid to invest a great deal of time and effort in developing the technology and systems. This technology enables businesses to deliver websites that can provide all Internet users with access to the same information, whilst affording them with greater control over the content of their site.
We were determined that the site should also offer the best usability for web site readers, blind users, partially sighted users, dyslexics and any other user needs. As you can see when you enter into the site, there are many ways the user can now read and access David's information allowing for greater usability and comfort.
This new technology also means that David's speeches and other information can be distributed with various multi-language and multi-capabilities. Now David can update his site from anywhere in the world and the information be available immediately on the web, for the first time David can really reach all of his audience.
