Wal-mart's CEO, Lee Scott, has committed the company to the goal of only using renewable energy, and to a range of other responsible business practices, which they have - in his words - ""been dealing with historically from a defensive posture." Your article: "Web posts lay bare thinking at Wal-mart" suggests a continuing ambiguity on ethical business practices. I prefer to take Mr Scott at his word - but "by their deeds shall ye know them." The world will be watching closely!
